I hope this one's as good as the first two, but with Singer out, I'm skeptical. What do you guys think?

It's a great trailer, promising a lot, and if it delivers on those promises, the movie would shatter all of my expectations. The trailer for Superman Returns, however, feels more epic to me.

Looks really good. I can't wait to see what happens with Jean/Phoenix.
Neither can I, and I hope they don't kill off any of the major characters, as this could very well have many more sequels (despite the "The Last Stand" subtitle.)

Aint it Cool News has been pretty hard on this movie but I suspect it has more to do with the fact that they've not been given set visits and tons of free xmen promotional stuff than with the quality of the movie. I think the trailer looks really great and I'm looking forward to it.
For what it's worth, Apple has posted the trailer in quicktime format.

Brian F: The article is actually just a link to Apple's quicktime trailer. Thanks, though. Also, I have read some of AICN's coverage of the movie, and I hope you're right about the limited access and promos (which wouldn't surprise me in the least, given Ain't It Cool's history).
BrianL: I agree that the trailer is great, but cutting a trailer and making a movie are completely different. I just wish that Bryan Singer was still attached to the project. It's Usual Suspects versus Rush Hour 2.

The trailer does look good but as others said I am skeptical as the new director doesn't seem as good as Singer. Don't get me wrong i loved the Rush Hour series but I think there's a different between Rush Hour and X-Men.

"Fastball special" is when Colossus (Piotr... bit role in X2) hurls Wolverine claws-first at a distant target.
And these movies have been great, despite the absence of Colossus and the fastball special.

Good looking trailer! And long! I tried not to watch. Why spoil a movie I'm already sure to see? I'm glad they put up the $ for more effects-heavy characters. I saw enought to realize I read that script in 1997. It was the original X-Men script - long since rejected. I hope Ratner doesn't screw this up. Who is directing the Fourth film "Wolverine?"

What I have heard is that it is just a trilogy arc whereas more movies can definitely been made. I like the approach though. 3 is always a good chunk for a series.

Stuff I see-
Juggernaught chasing after kitty
Both logan and the proffesor trying to help Jean grey become good.
Jean grey becoming good.
The mutant that makes the "cure" turning beasts hand into a normal (not hairy) hand.
Some asian guy with spikes.
I'm guessing that cyclops dies seeing as he is in the beggining where he finds jean and you don't see him at the funeral or through out the later scenes of the movie.
Collosus is there.
